CHANGING THE WAY WE OPERATE TO MEET THE DEMANDS OF FIGHTING COVID-19
The Army, our schools and every youth program in the country is racing to meet the demands of a post Covid-19 world. Nearly every corner of this earth has been stricken by the virus and we like others are looking for innovative ways to combat Covid-19 while maintaining a level of service and readiness commensurate with our traditions.
Covid-19 has changed everyone's daily lives. The in person recruiting and training has changed significantly. To continue to provide a service to our community during these challenging times we have introduced on-line programming aimed at connecting youth to our program in a virtual setting for the time being. In addition to that we are offering limited programming with very rigid standards in an outdoor setting. Cadets must:
Submit an annual physical exam report
Be tested for Covid-19 on an ongoing basis
Be tested for Covid-19 prior to attending any Field Training Exercises
Have temperature checks prior to and during activities
Observe social distancing standards
Wash hands and/or sanitize hands prior to and after all activities
Use masks during indoor activities
Follow CDC guidelines at all times
If your child is interested in our program simply email us to obtain parental forms and online instructions for an orientation, online programming and eventually the kind of programming the PRAE is known for. . Please use the CONTACT US page for information on one of the most unique programs in PR. Thank you for your interest in the Puerto Rico Army Explorers.
